Founded
Sudbury and Area Helping Families in Need was established to support local families in crisis.
Growing Impact
Expanded our reach to serve more families across the Sudbury region. Almost doubled from 2 years prior!
Community Partnerships
Formed partnerships with local organizations to better serve our community. In all my years I do not believe I have ever recieved a thank you card. Normally the families say thank you and to me that's more than enough as I know it's heartfelt. But tonight when bringing the presents to this family I was given a card. I am very touched with the kind words....but I didn't do this alone. Many people assisted in making a difference in 3 families lives. So although this card says my name, to me it's to each of us. Glad we were able to make the difference in a families life. ❤
Pandemic Response
Stepped up our efforts during COVID-19 to help families in unprecedented need. This is where our charity truly began to double down. We were so fortunate to all the businesses that supported our pandemic draw with our grand prize of $3000!

200+ Families Helped
What We Accomplished in 2024 In 2024, Sudbury and Area Helping Families in Need had an incredible year of giving, growth, and community connection. What began as a commitment to help 10 families quickly grew beyond expectations thanks to overwhelming support. By the end of the year, we were proud to accomplish the following: • 13 families received presents and food for a full Christmas celebration • 35 families were provided with food for their Christmas dinner • 35 boxes of pizza were delivered to unsheltered individuals on Christmas Eve • 3 additional families were supported throughout the year outside the holiday season Beyond meeting essential needs, 2024 was also about bringing joy and connection back to our community. We proudly hosted a Taylor Swift Tribute Dance, welcoming over 200 children for a night filled with music, dancing, and unforgettable memories. It was incredible to bring this event back and see so many kids having fun together. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and supporters. Every donation, raffle ticket, shared post, and helping hand played a role in making a real difference for families in our community. Together, we continued to show what’s possible when a community comes together. Reached a milestone of helping over 200 families in our community.
Helping more people and more dances!
What We Accomplished in 2025 In 2025, Sudbury and Area Helping Families in Need had a truly successful year giving back to our community. Thanks to the incredible support we received, we were able to assist 19 local families, donate thousands of dollars to food banks, and provide grocery gift cards to help families during the holidays when support mattered most. Through our fundraising efforts, we raised over $30,000, and 100% of those funds were put directly back into the community to support families in need. It was also a year of creating opportunities. Supporters had the chance to experience unforgettable moments, including Toronto Maple Leafs playoff games, Toronto Blue Jays Post Season games, and concerts featuring Morgan Wallen, Katy Perry, Lainey Wilson, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Luke Combs, Metallica, Candlelight Concerts, and more. We also hosted 2 community dances days for toddlers, pre-teens and teens. One of which was a Halloween dance, which was a great success! None of this would have been possible without the generosity, trust, and compassion of our supporters. Every ticket purchased and every donation made helped turn incredible experiences into real support for local families.
